In upcoming weeks, we have a slew of activities that will make TERRIFIC subjects for YouTube footage. If YouTubing is your passion, please come videotape your fellow 'Paulunteers' in action. You can then submit your finished work as a blog entry for the home page of OR4RP.com, and we'll add it to our list of YouTubes created by Oregonians and Vancouverites on the Videos page.
Upcoming events include:
The Ron Paul Tea Party on Sunday, December 16th. Kyle Sanders and Katja Delavar are in the process of firming up the day's schedule of local events, so please contact Kyle if you'd like to play a part (kylecanfly AT gmail.com). [Note: Kyle and Katja could also use a hand or two with planning and coordination.]
Today we went to the official Ron Paul New Hampshire Campaign office in Concord (about an hour from where we are in Hampton Beach). We had to replenish our supplies. We picked up a bunch of slimjims and yard signs to post around town. We also picked up new voter packets that have a list of registered Republican and Independent voters we can target directly.
It took a little longer than normal to get all the supplies, so Russell and I did some spontaneous sign-waving when waiting for all the print-outs. We got started a bit late, so we only canvassed for about 2-3 hours. We've been contacted by a few local reports that will be doing stories on the house. We've also received news that two new houses will be available in the next week or so!
We've had largely positive responses today. A lot of undecided voters are still out there which gives me a lot of encouragement when canvassing. I'm still working out all the details on how to capture and edit video with the new camcorder. I've done some test videos and I will post them as soon as I can!
I know we have lots of college students in the Oregon/Vancouver meetups. Don't miss this opportunity to put your Winter Break to good use!
Dr. Drew Ivers, Iowa Campaign Chair writes:

All students are invited to join us in Iowa Dec. 14-23 and Dec. 27-Jan. 4 for Ron Paul's Christmas Vacation. If you're a student and you can get to Iowa, the campaign will provide you with the rest. Food, housing, and gas will be covered for 150 students in Iowa. All you have to do is get here. To be a part of the Ron Paul Revolution and make history in Iowa, please RSVP today. Thank you so much for all you have done so far. All the money and time you have donated to freedom will never go unnoticed. We are truly making history in this great nation." Sincerely, Dr. Drew Ivers and the Staff in Iowa Iowa State Chairman Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign Committee Jeff Frazee, National Youth Coordinator writes: "Its winter break, students are on vacation, and Iowa needs you. Make the trip and be a part of something you will never forget. And, yes, Dr. Paul will be in Iowa during both weeks! Bring your friends. Bring your Students for Ron Paul chapter. Bring every Ron Paul student supporter you know. 25,000 Ron Paul caucus goers on Jan. 3 secures Ron Paul a top 3 finish. Students can be all the difference in Iowa!"
Last night I went to Murphy's Tap Room (it's a pub in Manchester) for the first time to meet Vijay (www.operationlivefreeordie.com) and Trevor (www.thisnovember5th.com). I also met some other OLFD members from places like North Carolina and New York. It was extremely encouraging to be with so many other liberty-minded people all talking about the weekly activities going on in the state. I also got some Liberty Dollar (www.norfed.com) certificates and "coins" from a generous Ron Paul supporter I met named Paul. We finally got back to the house around 1am. I'm still a little jet-lagged, so I immediately crashed when I finally laid down.
Wes, myself and Russell (other project members who live in the house) all went out to finish canvassing in Portsmouth. We hit about a 100 houses between the three of us. Other project members were out canvassing in other towns as well. Responses were largely positive and New Hampshire still has a ton of undecided voters. Most undecided voters were receptive to the Ron Paul message and taking literature to read. We generally spend the entire day canvassing. We leave around 9:30-10:30am and get back around 4pm. It gets dark extremely early now so we tend to stop around 4pm. We have lists of registered Republicans that we use as a basis for our canvassing in each town. We also do a lot of spontaneous outreach by talking to businesses and people just walking around town.
I bought a camcorder tonight, so I'll finally start posting some media for everyone to enjoy :)
