Physical Letters will Make them Notice PDF Print E-mail

Greetings All Ron Paul Supporters,

I am contacting you to let you know about two letters I have drafted, only because some of us are too busy to, for each of us to send to the media for treating Ron Paul so poorly and the other to the advertisers of these news programs telling them that we are boycotting their products and services until they pull their dollars from them noting it as a Customer Resignation letter.

My thought is that we all would send one to the main corporate offices; say of Fox, and one to the local affiliate station all on the same day.

I am contending that as great as it is to call them or email them once out of sight out of mind. However with a concentrated effort of hundreds or thousands of us sending letters to their doorsteps there is no way they will forget us. And the most effective way to get their attention is to send them all on the same day, give or take a day. Again, they will remember us if their postal person drops off bags to their offices.

For the media letter I have chosen Martin Luther King Day for them to receive it. It will be the day after if we send it out this Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

I have posted both letter here and hopefully you will get them. Unfortunately I do not have a blog or website to post this letter for everyone to go to to get it. If someone can help with this that would be great. If not then please everyone email me at  This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  I will send you both letters along with addresses of the most recent advertisers for the last Fox debate in SC.

Please, let's not let them forget us or think that we will just go away.

Be Well

Trae Jaxen

PS: If you haven't seen the movie Wag The Dog I would suggest it and to share it with your friends and family who may think the media is always telling the truth.

Made it to Las Vegas! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Frank
Hey everyone!

I made it to Las Vegas yesterday afternoon and started the day participating in Paul-a-palooza! I was alone in the house, so I took the bus to the event. It was pretty easy to find, my feet are killing me though from all the walking we did on the strip.  I'm in the HQ now and I will be phone banking. I honestly don't think I could canvass very long. The operation here is very slick and extremely well organized. The canvassing packets are very neat and easy to understand. The training sessions are thorough and to the point. The phone-banking setup is very well done and the data-entry system is top-notch. They really have it together here in Las Vegas. Keep checking my youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/olfdchannel, as I will continue to upload videos (and I promise to have the back-logged video from NH completed soon). Thanks everyone for your support!

Success in Iowa and beyond! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Scott Sutton
Online today, you'll find a mixed reaction amongst Paulunteers to Thursday's Iowa caucus results. A few Paulunteers seem to regard the 5th place finish as a near 'Harbinger of Doom,' while others view the results with great optimism. Personally, this long-time skeptic falls into the latter camp -- and here's why.

#1. Ron Paul: Marathon Man

The establishment and their media enablers want us to believe that the nomination is either won or lost in the first few primaries -- but for Ron Paul, this is a myth that holds only as much 'truth' as we grant it. Unlike the other candidates, Dr. Paul's prospects are not contingent upon a small handful of 'key states.'

For example, many pundits believe that Huckabee and Romney had to win Iowa, and that the 'loser' would suffer a near fatal blow. But unlike Paul's competitors, whose support is regionally concentrated, Dr. Paul has a significant following in every state, so he simply needs to perform consistently and strongly through the early rounds. (Note: Some believe Romney suffered irrevocable damage in Iowa since he failed to win despite investing an enormous amount of time and money there.)

For the other candidates, this race may be a sprint -- but for the Paul campaign, it's a marathon.

A BIG Thank You... PDF Print E-mail
Written by Nicolle Null

I would just like to say thank you to all who showed up at Pioneer Square January 1st in downtown Portland to celebrate the start of the New Year Ron Paul style!

We had about 50 supporters who gathered in downtown Portland, OR to march the streets and spread the message of Freedom & Hope for America. We even had Channel 6 news show up at the event! It was great to see so many new faces and feel all the excitement everyone shared.

While we were marching we picked up a local Iraq Veteran who was running some errands. He stopped what he was doing to pick up a sign and march with us! I thanked him for serving our country and was so happy to hear that just the other day he was looking up information about Dr. Paul. The message is spreading all over the country. People are waking up, NOW is the time for action!

You can view more photos from the event HERE.

Here comes the Freedom Revolution Train - tickets to ride are FREE! Join us in Restoring the Republic!

URGENT - Organizers needed! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Scott Sutton

We're looking for a few motivated, responsible souls to join our team of Organizers. For our local efforts, there's no more important role - the effectiveness of our Organizers will have a major impact on our success in coming months.

Since July, the Ron Paul Meetup groups in the Portland/Vancouver area have flourished -- our membership rolls continue to climb, and our event calendars have been positively packed with activities. In many ways, we're setting a tremendous example for other Meetup groups across the country.

The "secret" to our success has been the willingness of individuals to step up and assume positions of responsibility -- to cite just a few examples:

  • Jerret and Nicolle's efforts in developing the OR4RP.com Web site and blog,

  • Wavyhill's creation of 'Ron Paul Theater',

  • Brian and Jenny's sponsorship of past sign-making events,

We made it to Iowa! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Justin Hamel
I traveled from Portland, Oregon to Des Moines, Iowa. It's great here.

The day was interesting. I left Portland, Oregon at 6 am this morning (12/27). I am now sitting in a ballroom inside the Des Moines Marriott. Ron is about twelve feet from me taking photos with all of the individual students that turned out to support him and the campaign. I was fortunate enough to be able to meet and talk with Ron for a few moments when I first arrived here at the hotel. Additionally, I got my photo taken with him and he signed my Apple laptop.

My flight was extremely eventful. During the first leg of my journey, I sat next to a man who knew of Ron Paul. He was not a supporter as he claimed to be undecided. For three hours I filled his brain with everything I could possibly tell him about Ron. At the end of the flight, he assured me that he would be voting for Ron.

On the second leg of my journey, I was sitting next to and directly behind the guys that are in charge of the Fred Thompson campaign in Texas. It's funny, they all know Ron personally. They said that they support Fred because of their belief that Fred could beat Hillary. They think that Fred is the only person that could beat Hillary. Interestingly, they mentioned that it is their belief that Fred will switch to an Independent after getting elected.

In short, what the heck?

I am impressed with the student turn-out. I think there is about 275 students. That rocks. We are being assigned to all corners of the state to canvass neighborhoods during the day and call Iowa residents in the evening.

....... Now it is 1:20 am and we are all settled in at camp. The snow is beautiful. I think that's it for tonight.
