What’s the number one request for Meetup Organizers? ![]() a) Remove the registration requirement for our Meetup groups.
b) Get Sean Hannity to admit that Ron Paul supporters can only vote once in Fox News polls.
c) Provide Karl a much-deserved online forum – and thereby extend the lifespan of e-mail servers everywhere.
Honestly, I have no clue. What I do know is that Karl and Scott requested that some of us get together and build a website that better meets the needs of our growing community of local 'Paulunteers' - so some of us sat down and did just that.
Sure, the site's not perfect and there’s still some work to be done, but it’s at a point where we think the benefits outweigh any further delays for initial development. So, without further ado, I present www.OregoniansForRonPaul.com!
“Wait!” you may shout, why on Earth do we need another website?! Well, thanks for asking. Here’s why:
There’s a big list of new and exciting features that we’re working on getting out to you as well. Since we were pressed for time and have a limited ‘staff,’ a couple of features did not make it into the initial version of the website (such as the integrated calendar system for groups in Oregon and Vancouver). As a result, you will still need an account for your local Meetup group to access its calendar and to receive event reminders.
Since we're now in full campaign mode with only a couple of months until the first primary, expect things to change rapidly on our new site. Your participation is critical in securing the GOP nomination for Dr. Paul. So please get involved, and join www.oregoniansforronpaul.com today!
Sincerely,
Jerret Kinsman

P.S. - We’re looking for volunteers to join our Web team and assist with ongoing development of the site, so please let me know if you can help out. There’s plenty of opportunities for creative input and fun projects, so don’t be shy. Also, I’ll schedule a training session for all Web team members sometime soon – at that time, I’ll show everyone how to navigate and use Joomla!, the application used to develop and maintain the Web site.
